In recent years, service areas and parking areas along expressways have evolved from being merely "rest facilities" into destinations that attract visitors in their own right, not only for road users but also for those who visit the facilities specifically. In addition, initiatives such as government-led holiday policies have contributed to a significant increase in visitors on weekends and holidays, resulting in unprecedented levels of activity. On the other hand, those involved in facility operations face increasingly diversified responsibilities, and together with labor shortages, are experiencing a growing workload. Against this backdrop, we recommend considering the introduction of a system that supports the unique operational needs of expressway rest facilities and enables efficient management of sales, purchasing, and inventory operations.
This system enables unified management of multiple types of stores, including restaurants, food courts, retail shops, specialty stores, convenience store–type outlets, and outdoor stalls. Handheld POS devices can also be used for temporary stalls during peak seasons. Sales can be managed individually for each store and each sales device (such as POS terminals).
The system is equipped with inter-head office and store coordination functions, enabling centralized management of multiple areas.
Product information registered at the head office can be distributed in bulk to POS terminals at each area, and sales reports from each area can be reviewed at the head office.
We have delivered our system to more than 70 locations in total, including areas under the jurisdiction of East Nippon, Central Nippon, and West Nippon Expressway Companies, as well as other road public corporation-managed areas.
In addition to standard management and analysis reports, the system can generate a wide variety of reports, including formats used in former public corporation standards.
The system supports integration not only with POS systems for food service and retail, but also with ticket vending machines and handheld POS devices. As optional functions, it can also be linked with vending machines and payment terminals.
The system can link daily sales report data with the NEXCO business system.
In addition, monthly "sales by item" reports can be exported in Excel format.
Product Management for POS SystemsThis function allows maintenance of product categories, transmission of information to POS terminals, and output of barcode ledgers.
Sales ManagementThis includes daily sales entry, printing of sales checklists, and manual entry of sales data from non-connected devices.
Purchasing and Accounts Payable ManagementBy entering daily purchase slips and payment data for suppliers, the system can generate payment lists and payment statements on a closing-date basis.
Inventory and Stocktaking ManagementThis function supports inventory adjustments for product disposal and guide services, month-end stocktaking processes, and output of inventory lists.
Sales AnalysisThe system can generate sales reports by POS terminal, department, and product, as well as performance reports by credit card company (payment media).
Report ManagementIt enables output of sales reports by item and generates reports in former public corporation formats.
